1. Information we collect
When you create an account, we collect your name, email, and a profile photo if you add one. When you use Lumagine, we store what you create — communities, posts, comments, events, and tickets — and, if you organize paid events, the KYC and bank details needed to set up payouts.
2. Your location
You can set your city manually at any time from the city picker. If you allow location access when your browser asks, we use it once to suggest the nearest of our launch cities.
Your coordinates are matched to the nearest city entirely in your browser — they're never sent to our servers. Only the resulting city name (e.g. “Bengaluru”) is saved, the same as if you'd picked it from the list yourself. Denying location access just leaves manual selection available — nothing else changes.
3. How we use your information
We use your information to run the product: showing you relevant communities and events, processing ticket purchases and membership subscriptions, settling payouts to organizers, and letting you sign back in. We don't sell your personal information, and we don't use it for advertising.
4. Who we share it with
Some information is visible to other users by design — your profile, and anything you post, is shown to the communities and events you're part of, per each community's visibility settings. We also rely on a small number of service providers to run Lumagine at all:
Handles sign-in, our database, file storage (photos), and hosting. Most of what Lumagine stores about you lives here.
Processes ticket and membership payments, and organizer payouts. Your card, UPI, or bank details are handled directly by Razorpay — Lumagine never sees or stores them.
5. Cookies
We use a small number of cookies, all functional: one keeps you signed in, and another remembers your selected city. We don't use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
6. Your choices
You can edit or remove most of your profile information at any time from your account settings, and you can delete your account entirely. Deleting your account removes your profile and personal information; content tied to a community or event you organized (like past orders) may be retained where we're required to keep financial records.
7. Children's privacy
Lumagine isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Lumagine changes. We'll update the date at the top of this page whenever we do.
